Description

Published in association with the Guardian, You Can Save the Planet leads readers minute by minute through an average day. From dressing and eating to using email and mobile phones, this book reveals the impact of everyday life on the environment, and shows how even the smallest actions can make a difference to the future of our planet. Up-to-the-minute facts and clear explanations of key concepts are combined with practical advice in this essential book for young adults and their families.

The environment is the hot topic in schools and the media, so there's never been a better time for a practical teen guide to ethical living. Each spread is packed with the latest research, statistics, and ideas, presented in an accessible way. Core concepts, such as carbon footprints, fair trade and food miles, are explained where they occur in the text. Includes web links, a glossary and advice on finding reliable information about the environment. Strong links with the secondary school curriculum; KS3 pupils are being asked to keep a daily diary of their impact on the environment.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
