About the Author
Jo Ham formed her eponymous studio in 2011 and has since exhibited with Liberty, Mother, Topshop and Colette. HAM has created bespoke artwork for The Body Shop and Mini and, in her capacity as a visual artist, Jo has also been commissioned by Eurostar, Nike and Saatchi Gallery. Informed by her studies and early career in design, Jo has always been fascinated by popular culture and uses Rabbit to shine a light on life's simple pleasures - in particular how we interact with one another through work and play. The resulting social commentary creates Rabbit's happy world, where our daily rituals, likes and hobbies are immortalized in print for all to enjoy. In 2018, Jo was awarded NatWest's UK Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year and the Aviva Women of the Future Arts and Culture Prize.
Reviews
Heart-warming but also funny, and the character's tumbles will make both children and their adults smile -- Charlotte Eyre * The Bookseller *
Just right for sharing with the very youngest. * The Reading Hub *
Despite the simplicity, there is a lot going on in both Rabbit stories which is necessary as children love repeated readings of favourite books! The illustrations cleverly convey a character who is brave, outgoing and adventurous but the inclusion of the bigger rabbit provides necessary reassurance. * The Letterpress Project *
I love the simplicity of the book and the silhouetted images. There is great repetition... it makes it fun to anticipate what will happen and what activity Rabbit will do next. * The Strawberry Post *
More than just hoppy legs and sniffy little noses, this one is bound to win both hearts and minds. * Kirkus Reviews *
