About the Author
Sherna Berger Gluck coordinates the oral history program at California State University where she also teaches women's studies. She is the author of From Parlor toPris on and Rosie the Riveter Revisited: Women, The Warand Social Change.
Daphne Patai is Professor of Women's Studies and of Portuguese at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is the author of The OrwellMystique: A Study In Male Ideology and Brazilian WomenSpeak: Contemporary Life Stories.
