Reviews
'Whiti: Colossal Squid of the Deep is a fantastic exploration of this incredible creature that has fascinated so many people. The format of the book, with small chunks of information, a conversational text and stunning illustrations make this a nonfiction book for readers of all ages... a must-have for all school libraries and would make a wonderful gift for any children who are fascinated with wildlife. It is one of the best New Zealand nonfiction books for children this year.' - My Best Friends are Books; 'What a magnificent resource this book is.'- NZ Poetry Box; With its entertaining yet informative text, clean design and skilful, mesmerising illustrations (complete with fold-outs of underwater scenes) Whiti is an excellent addition to the cluster - in fact, it's a masterclass in how to do it right. 'The prose is engaging right from the outset, speaking directly to the reader, putting them in the driving seat by pretending they've travelled down to chilly Antarctica to specifically to spot a colossal squid' - NZ Booklovers
