About the Author
Keith Betton is heavily involved in bird monitoring in Hampshire, where he is County Recorder and Chairman of the Hampshire Ornithological Society. In particular he has worked on conservation of the Peregrine Falcon and Stone-curlew, liaising with landowners to ensure the birds have the greatest chance of success. He has been a Council Member of both the RSPB and the BTO and is currently Vice President of the latter. Keith is also a trustee of the Cameron Bespolka Trust and acts as an advisor to Birds on the Brink and BirdLife International. He is a keen world birder having seen over 8500 species in more than 100 countries, where he acquired a particular passion for Africa and the Middle East. He is a past Chairman of both the Ornithological Society of the Middle East and also the African Bird Club, and he is now Vice President of the latter.

Reviews
An essential purchase for resident and visiting birders in these three counties and, considering the wealth of data synthesised within its covers, provides very good value for money. * British Birds *
This is a great book in a great series, and essential for any extended birding visit to these areas of great variety in both habitats and birds. * Bird Watching, Book of the Month *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
