About the Author

Alf Nicholson FRCPI, FRCPCH is RCSI Professor of Paediatrics. He is based in Temple Street Children's University Hospital and has over 25 years' experience in the practice of paediatric medicine. He is the National Clinical Lead for Paediatrics in the HSE's National Clinical Programme for Paediatrics and Neonatology and co-dean for basic specialist training in Paediatrics and is responsible for the national programme for junior paediatric trainee doctors in Ireland.

He has worked in Europe and Australia, including the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne (the largest paediatric hospital in the southern hemisphere).

He is married with four children.

Grainne O'Malley is a professional writer with a background in public relations and over 20 years' writing experience. She is a mother of two children.

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…
