VW owners are hardly wanting for relevant books, but Volkswagen: The Air-Cooled Era in Colour focuses on the marketing and production of postwar to 1970 VWs in a light, easily accessed way with very little tedious data. Pretty 1940s and 50s stylised artwork gives way to the brutal honesty of the 1960s, and there is a pleasing amount of Type 3 and Razor Edge coverage included. Great for the newcomer to the work of Beetles and buses.- Classic Car Weekly.
