Description

After winning an old casefile at auction outlining the disappearance of a hunting party back in the nineties, Kory and his pregnant wife invite their friend and mentor, Professor Frank Colista, and others, for a casual long weekend of exploring the mystery onsite with very little hope of finding anyone or anything. When one of their factions disappears without a trace, Kory and Colista fear the past may repeat itself. Then the deaths start. As a savage, unexpected snowstorm sets in, the disappearances and ungodly sightings of the deceased ramp up, and an old woman rambles about end-of-days and sacrifice.

About the Author

Justin lives somewhere on the Cass Lake chain of lakes with his wife, and also a rather large Daneiff named Nu and a clever but tiny Devon Rex named Jinx. Justin is the author of the novels Blood from the Stars, Tethered to Darkness, Seven Cleopatra Hill, the 3-book Bruised series, and several pieces of short fiction haunting anthologies and magazines around the world. Bruised made Grand Master Brian Keene's 2015 list of top fifteen books. He's hard at work on his next novel when not boating, investigating the paranormal, or playing sport.

Reviews

"Justin Holley's UNSEEN GODS, takes a deeper look, at times light-hearted and at times deadly serious, at the needs that drive human interaction - loneliness and desire, love and loss, insecurity and the search for one's identity. His characters are sharp-witted and sharp-tongued, capturing the essence of those caught in the grip of the existential fear of true adulthood and its daunting responsibilities, and his occult detective and attendant protege perfectly capture the other as hero, squaring off against unique and unsettling occult horrors. You might not see Holley's monsters, but you'll feel them, and they'll see you..."

-- Mary SanGiovanni, author of STRANGE STONES and THE EVERYWHERE HOUSE

"With Hellweg's Keep, Justin Holley delivers a scary, white-knuckle sci-fi thriller that will appeal to fans of Alien, The Hematophages, and Ghosts of Mars. So much fun!"

-- Brian Keene, winner of the World Horror Grandmaster Award and two Bram Stoker Awards

Praise for previous books:

"Bruised is a fast-paced, shiver-inducing tale. Holley has artfully crafted a story of terror with an undercurrent of romance." Amity Hope, Best-selling author of Twisted.

"Holley crafts deep and meaningful relationships and then thrusts them into the depths of unmitigated madness and terror. You consistently get a double-gut-punch of romance and horror. Seven Cleopatra Hill does not disappoint." Brandan Deneen, Best-selling author of Morbius: Blood Ties and The Chrysalis.

"Tethered to Darkness is a trip back in time, to the days when bookstores packed their turnstiles with paperback horror novels from the likes of Richard Laymon, Rick Hautala, and Shaun Hutson. A horror writer's dream novel filled with dark imagery and supernatural tropes, readers are treated to a traditional premise that spins out unique characters confronting their terrors head on, expertly incorporated into a darkly imaginative tale that will keep you turning the pages well into the night." Michael Laimo, author of Dead Souls and Deep in the Darkness.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
