Description

"Arre, one of the Philippines' master cartoonists, weaves his magic yet again." -Publishers Weekly

A new brand of superhero from the rich lore of Philippine myth!

In this spellbinding action-adventure from Arnold Arre-the great master of the graphic novel, the age-old divide between good and evil widens. Catch a glimpse of a Manila privy to only a few of the supernatural and magically inclined, while following a superhero born and raised by its streets in The World of Andong Agimat.

In a world yearning for stability, a renegade force arrives, spreading chaos amidst the populace in the form of a gruesome plague. This is when the world needs Andong Agimat-and his mysterious amulet. Can the talisman's secret powers repel the forces of chaos?
Reviews
"Arre (The Mythology Class) redefines superhero tropes in this explosive tale of mystical antiheroes who protect the gritty streets of Manila. [...] Arre's dynamic use of motion lines and detailed, frenetic black-and-white art creates tension and keeps the pace up, while the ricochet of English and Tagalog dialogue and wall-to-wall panel saturation immerses readers into the noirish Manila street scenes and disorienting but thrilling action arcs, which recall the perversions of Sin City as much as Dark Knight-style vigilante sequences. Arre, one of the Philippines' master cartoonists, weaves his magic yet again." -Publishers Weekly

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
