Description

** THE INSTANT NUMBER ONE INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER ** 'A sizzling debut' - NEW YORK TIMES 'A genuinely thrilling ride' - LISA GARDNER 'A page-turner that I finished in one sitting' - PATRICIA WOLF One girl escaped. But the forest took another... A young girl wanders into the small town of Koraha, her hands stained with blood. She won't speak, but her path is tracked through New Zealand's unforgiving wilderness to a cabin - and the scene of a double murder. The townsfolk know this cabin; it has a violent history. Twenty years ago, another girl was forced to flee, leaving her siblings and father behind. But now that her family's secrets have led to more victims, Effie has no choice but to return to the bush and face the truth of what happened there... and why she ran. Flooded with atmosphere and full of twists, The Vanishing Place is perfect for readers of Lucy Clarke and Sarah Pearse.

A debut thriller, with the wild atmosphere of Kristin Hannah's The Great Alone and propulsive pace of Abigail Dean's Girl A

About the Author
Zoe Rankin grew up in Scotland. She studied International Relations with Arabic before going on to qualify as a teacher. She spent many years travelling in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and eventually settled in New Zealand. Her father was in mountain rescue in Scotland, and so her passion for the outdoors grew early. She spends a lot of time hiking and cycling with her husband and two young children in New Zealand, and the more remote locations inspired the idea for her debut novel The Vanishing Place.

Hopeful, affecting and hugely compelling, The Vanishing Place stole a little piece of my heart. I was captured from the first word -- Marion Todd, author of OLD BONES LIE

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
