Description

When Pete, Krish and Nancy read a story in the local paper about weird gunk being found in a field where sheep have gone missing next to Hilltop House, they're sure there's a mystery to be investigated. The new research farm at Hilltop is working on the creation of new bio-fuels, but when a storm knocks out the power in the local area and something escapes from the farm, it's clear that the research has gone horribly wrong ... Can the brave trio save the village in their most terrifying adventure yet?

A ground-breaking experiment at a new research farm quickly grows out of control in this modern take on Day of the Triffids from master of creepy sci-fi Dan Smith.

"A welcome return to Crooked Oak where Pete, Krish and Nancy are once again on alert for yet another threat to the wellbeing of the town ... by the end of the story you might well want to make a hasty visit to the nearest garden centre and check-out what power tools they have available." -- The Letterpress Project

"Get ready to have your spine well and truly tingled in a terrifying Day of the Triffids-inspired thriller ... Expect thrills, chills and spills... but best read in daylight hours!" -- Book-marked

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
