Description

An idyllic holiday turns into a race against time when Rex has to stop a diabolical plot.

Rex, Catia, Digger, and their friends, Josh and Marissa, are on holiday in Hong Kong. The nature is breathtaking, the people enlivening, and the shopping exhilarating.

Until two ladies are attacked at Stanley Market by members of the triad group, Sun Yee On. Without hesitation, Catia, Marissa, and Digger jump into action and rescue the women.

Thus, their blissful holiday comes to a violent end. Now they're targets of the Chinese government who wants to keep secret the hellish scheme by the President of China to gain control of the world.

THE SHANGHAI STRAIN is a full-length novel, a nail-biting thriller by best-selling author JC Ryan. It is the eleventh book in the electrifying Rex Dalton series.

About the Author
JC Ryan is a bestselling author known for crafting intricate espionage and archaeological thrillers and conspiracy mysteries. His work has received high acclaim. With over thirty published novels, including the popular Rex Dalton thrillers, the Rossler Foundation mysteries, and Carter Devereux thrillers, Ryan has developed a devoted following who celebrate his masterful blend of historical mystery and contemporary adventure. Readers praise Ryan's work for its exceptional research depth and how he skillfully weaves actual history into fictional narratives. His engaging plots, featuring multiple storylines, have earned him a reputation for creating 'unputdownable' stories. Ryan's diverse life experiences deeply inform his writing. After receiving a military degree, he served as an officer for seven years until a crippling back injury forced a career change. Undeterred, he returned to university to study law and ran his private practice for over fifteen years. His career path then led him to another country where he worked as an IT project manager, before finally pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a writer in 2014. When not writing, Ryan enjoys life with his college sweetheart, whom he's been married to since 1978. They are proud parents of two daughters and two sons-in-law and grandparents to two grandchildren.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
