Description
Part memoir and part guidebook to gaining a deeper understanding, The Secrets of My Spectrum offers a one-of-a-kind insight into the Autism Spectrum -written by a sixteen-year-old.
For years, Callum struggled to navigate the world he lived in and meet social expectations before being told he was autistic at age thirteen. Wishing others understood more about the challenges of being on the spectrum, the teen shares his insights, perceptions, reactions, and experiences, from the triggers that lead to anxiety and shutdowns to tips for coping with stressful situations such as travelling, socialising, and communicating.
With honesty and forthrightness, The Secrets of My Spectrum explores the challenges-and the great gifts-that come with living on the spectrum.

About the Author
Callum Knight was diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) when he was thirteen years old. When he read books about autism and watched television shows, he felt so many things about being autistic were left out. At sixteen, he decided to write about his experiences, in the hope that it could help other kids like him to know they are not alone and give them something to show their family, teachers or carers. Callum lives with his family in Kent, UK and is currently writing children's picture books about Autism/ASD. You can find out more at: www.callumknightautism.com
