About the Author

Miriam Muller has worked as a lecturer in medieval history at the University of Birmingham, UK. She has published on a wide range of topics about medieval rural life, including peasant revolts and gender in the English village. Her current research interests include medieval coastal communities, peasant revolts in northern Germany and the representation of medieval peasants in modern and contemporary far-right movements.
