He is a Professor of Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Brescia in Italy and was for many years Research Professor at Washington University. Professor Fontana was recently invited to join the University of Sydney as Chair of Translational Metabolic Health. Credited with conducting the foundational research that gave rise to the 5:2 diet, Professor Fontana's revolutionary work is leading the world on longevity and the factors involved in living a long and healthy life.
