Description

The surely soon-to-be million-copy bestselling sort-of inspirational parody..

A timeless parody of Charlie Mackesy's The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.

Enter the world of me, Panda, plus my sometime-friends Cat and Teddy. You will find us living our best lives, trying (and occasionally succeeding) to be kind to each other. The cat is quite nice but can be a little bit selfish. Teddy can come across as very nice, with his squeaky voice and looking so tiny and helpless. But I must warn you, Teddy can be a vicious little backstabber, actually.

This is a book of nice illustrations and some words from which you will likely gain some sort of inspiration. Like:

'Just because you're struggling, it doesn't mean you're failing... But it might do.'
'Nothing beats kindness,' said the cat. 'Gin does', said Panda.
'If you don't stop saying inspirational things to me, I'm going to punch you up the hooter.'
'You OK, hun?' asked Panda, but he was just taking the piss.
'We're just so, so lucky to have each other as friends, and it's going to make a marvellous book.'

The enormously funny parody of Charlie Mackesy's The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

Reviews

'I laughed my b*llocks off.' - Dave Myers from the Hairy Bikers

'A funny, cynical man and a lovely artist' - Neil Gaiman

'Very funny... Catches the mood of the times.' - Steven Moffat, writer and producer of TV's Sherlock and Doctor Who.

'The gentle and reassuring traditions of classic children's books lovingly observed, and then gleefully profaned. Are you sitting comfortably? Well, that was probably your first mistake.'
Dan Abnett, writer of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic books

'Lovely!... There is just something very funny about cuddly toys swearing. Very cheering!'
Cathy Rentzenbrink, author of The Last Act of Love

'If you like inspirational messages, see hope in the eyes of a toy, and dream of a better world, then you're an idiot. Buy this fantastic book and BE MORE PANDA.'
David Quantick, comedy writer of The Thick of It, Veep and TV Burp

'I love this book! The dry, potty-mouthed humour is right up my street and Panda is an iconically cantankerous character. I predict that lots of grown-ups who've behaved themselves this year will be asking Santa for a copy in their Christmas stocking!'
Matt Cain , writer and broadcaster

'It's pure unadulterated grown-up naughty joy! Just what we need to give us a good laugh'
Rowan Coleman, author of The Accidental Mother

'I love it. Genuinely... Really appeals to my warped sense of humour.' - Gary Andrews, author of Finding Joy

'I've fallen in love with the irascible, sweary Panda. Superbly drawn and acutely observed. I see tee-shirts ahead. I want the one that says, "F*ck off, I'm reading".' - Carole Matthews, author of A Minor Indiscretion and A Cottage by the Sea

'If ever there was a time when we needed this book - it's now. I can't tell you how much I LOVED it. I'm buying it for EVERYONE! It's beyond brilliant. It's going to be a massive hit.' - Milly Johnson, author of The Teashop on the Corner

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
