Having Autism is a 'way of being' which influences thinking, feeling and reactions to people and situations. It is a lifelong condition which affects girls and boys. A lot of people with autism say the struggle with communication skills and they find interacting with the world very confusing and difficult. About the Author
Vicky Martin (Author)
Vicky Martin is the co-author of M is for Autism. She worked with the students of Limpsfield Grange, a residential school for girls with communication and interaction difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder, to write and illustrate the book during three months of drama and creative writing workshops. The true-life experiences of the girls were developed into M's story. Vicky has previously worked on creative writing projects for the Royal Opera House's Education Department, and many theatres, arts centres and charities in the UK.
