About the Author
Lee Elliot Major is Britain's first professor of social mobility and is based at the University of Exeter. He was previously chief executive of the Sutton Trust. His work is dedicated to improving the education and life prospects of under-resourced children and young people. He is an award-winning author and was awarded an OBE in the 2019 Queen's Honours for services to social mobility. He is the first in his family to go to university.
