Autism is one of the most compelling, controversial, and heartbreaking cognitive disorders. Deborah R. Barnbaum is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Kent State University and editor (with Michael Byron) of Research Ethics: Text and Readings. She lives in Kent, Ohio.
