Description

After George visits the Museum of Wildlife with Grandad, all he can think about is bugs! The very next day he goes out hunting, but he soon finds there are no more insects left in the garden, and the ones he has captured in jars don't look very happy... George is about to learn exactly why bugs are so important. A brilliant, vibrant debut from Alex G Griffiths, featuring a wonderful grandfather-grandson relationship.

About the Author
Alex G Griffiths lived in Oslo, Norway until the age of 5, when his family moved to Buckinghamshire. He studied Graphic Design at Coventry University and decided to become a children's book illustrator through his love for drawing and doodling. The Bug Collector is his debut picture book as author and illustrator and was published in 2019. Alex now lives in Canada with his wife and two children.

Reviews
"The story is filled with action and movement and the pages are packed with detail. I love the way George chases after his bugs with such a loping stride and the relationship between him and his grandfather is tender and convincing." * LoveReading4Kids *
"Properly informative and lovely to read." * Angels & Urchins *
"The Bug Collector is not only a very enjoyable story, it also incorporates information about mini beasts and their importance in the natural world. Sharing this book might inspire young naturalists to observe bugs in their natural environment and find out more about creating minibeast friendly habitats." * Books for Keeps *
"Griffiths delightfully captures George's enthusiasm while delivering a gentle lesson in environmental stewardship." * Booklist *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
