It also contains a full commentary on Sun Tzu, the man and his ideas, contemporary of Confucius and Buddha; and a critical guide to further reading.

An elegant pocket hardback edition of Sun Tzu's definitive work on military strategy

About the Author

Sun Tzu (Master Sun) was a native of the north-eastern Chinese kingdom of Qi. He was a contemporary of Confucius and famous by 512 BC as the author of 'thirteen chapters' on military matters. Recruited by the ruler of the southern kingdom of Wu, he was supposedly responsible for several decisive victories over neighbouring states.

The translator, Jonathan Clements, is the author of many books on Asia including biographies of Chairman Mao, Confucius and Khublai Khan.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
