Description

What needs to grow and what needs to go? Licensed psychologist and author Georgia Shaffer asks women this vital question as she encourages them to recognize and let go of the unhealthy, toxic emotions and lies they hold onto and replace them with godly truths. With a strong biblical foundation, Shaffer offers encouragement, insightful questions, practical steps, and personal prayers to help readers: release destructive guilt and insecurities by embracing their value in God; reduce anxiety by addressing their deepest fears with God's wisdom; experience greater intimacy and honesty in their relationships; increase their physical energy and spiritual peace in God's strength; and, turn from unrealistic expectations toward realistic expectations and positive goals. Readers will discover hope and renewal as they watch God transform their trash into treasure through His mighty grace.

Reviews
"Decide now to have a better life-free of constant emotional stress, miscommunication, pent-up anger, and out-of-control responses. In Taking Out Your Emotional Trash Georgia Shaffer provides mentally healthy choices and a workable plan of action. Whether you have your own emotional clutter or live with people who are stuck in the rut of unforgiveness and unfulfilled expectations, this book is the tool you need to move into emotional and spiritual health." -Carol Kent, speaker and author, A New Kind of Normal; Between a Rock and a Grace Place "At first glance, you might be tempted to think that you don't have enough 'emotional trash' to worry about. However, you may be surprised to discover what God has planned for you by reading this insightful book! Georgia skillfully yet gently leads the reader through the process necessary to clear heart and mind of emotions that may be keeping you from experiencing the abundant life Jesus came to give. I'm really glad I read it!" -Candy Davison, Women's Ministry Coordinator, Sandy Cove Ministries "Broken lives, broken dreams, broken hearts. All this brokenness means the emotional trash is piling high in most of our lives. I am thankful Georgia Shaffer has written a book that is better than a dumpster, trash compactor, and garbage bag in getting the junk out of our hearts, minds, and lives so we can have the life and the love we dream of, the life God intended for us, the life that brings 'a future and a hope.'" -Pam Farrel, author, Men Are Like Waffles-Women Are Like Spaghetti "Our emotional well-being is vitally connected to our spiritual health and maturity. Georgia Shaffer guides us on a journey of transformation in Taking Out Your Emotional Trash. She offers practical resources so we can clear out the junk to make space for more joy, peace, and healthy relationships." -Dr. Catherine Hart Weber, therapist, teacher, author, Flourish: Discover the Daily Joy of Abundant, Vibrant Living "As our level of emotional stress rises, so does the need for Georgia Shaffer's Taking Out Your Emotional Trash. Whether we hoard our feelings or unload them on those closest to us, we can all benefit from this excellent resource. If you are a parent, counselor, pastor, life coach, or simply want to strengthen your closest relationships, I highly recommend this book." -Dwight Bain, Executive Director of Christian Coaching Alliance, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Life Coach "This is a much needed, practical, honest and authentic book for those who want to develop the skills that will enable them to properly express their emotions. Georgia's own life experience and willingness to share it is refreshing and healing." -Michelle Cavinder, Lead Pastor, Relational Ministries, Crystal Cathedral "I love the practical way Georgia brings home the points-uses her own experiences which always gives the reader comfort-knowing the author's pain/victory. I love the journal emphasis and the study questions for each chapter. I plan on using this for women's study group at church." -Judith A Tier Interiors LLC "Georgia Shaffer in Taking Out Your Emotional Trash, makes the steps to relief and release from emotional baggage very clear. Many books tell a person WHAT they should do to change their direction, but few tell HOW. I knew there were times that I reacted too strongly, but I hadn't figured out what caused my reactions to be so strong. Georgia's book helped me understand ME and most importantly her book helped me know how to avoid my emotional build-up. I heartily recommend this book to help each of us have a more clear understanding of how to avoid being a trash collector." -Marilyn Heavilin, author of Roses In December "Overall, this book was a good source of information on how to effectively build healthy relationships both in your personal life and in your work life." -Vicki Greco "Georgia Shaffer has written an honest and down-to-earth approach to help the readers face their feelings and build healthy relationships. I highly recommend this book for everyone in a relationship with people through marriage and the family, employment and volunteer work." -Yvonne Ortega, LPC, LSATP, author of Finding Hope for Your Journey through Breast Cancer

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
