About the Author

Derek J. Paulsen is currently an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Police Studies at Eastern Kentucky University. He is the former program manager of the Crime Mapping and Analysis Program (CMAP), a program of the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center, NIJ.
