Rachel Abbott is a British author of psychological thrillers. Her first three self-published novels have combined to sell over one million copies, and have all been bestsellers on Amazon's Kindle store.Abbott was born in Worsley, Manchester, England and grew up in nearby Swinton. She was educated at Moorside Primary School and Eccles Grammar School. After leaving school she worked in a number of roles - from secretary to training manager - before returning to college in Manchester to train as a systems analyst.Abbott's father ran his own business as a butchers' outfitter, and she, her mother and sister both worked in the business. A year after qualifying as a systems analyst in 1981 Abbott decided to establish her own company to develop interactive software for schools. Stranger Child was the PERFECT thriller. I couldn't get enough of this shocking story. Bookaholic Confessions Her characters feel realistic because they react like real people even in extraordinary situations. Cleo loves books I was left speechless in the first chapter and couldn't put it down for hours. Crime Book Club Prose is taut, wholly believable locations and a full cast bursting with engaging characters. Crime Fiction Lover I loved this book! I can't wait to pick up more books by this author. Debra's Book Cafe A well-rounded, and fulfilling novel, that still manages to keep you guessing right to the very end. If These Books Could Talk A very gripping thriller indeed. Ignite Books I wanted it to last forever but was so desperate to find out what happened next. It's All About The Books My expectations of the characters were completely turned on their head. A gripping page turner. Novel Kicks Stranger Child is a written well, hard-to-put-down psychological thriller Off-the-shelf Sit and squeal all the way through to the end. Reading Room with a View Stranger Child is an astounding read and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Best Chick Lit Absorbing, complex and brilliantly planned, I loved this book. 10/10.
