Description

Providing a clearer understanding of contemporary issues through a broad, historical perspective, this scholarly overview unites the multidisciplinary roots of social psychology into one coherent book. The author attempts to unite the works and theories of all social psychological subdivisions. Clearly and concisely, he presents readers with a history of social psychology using a minimum of technical jargon. Rather than merely cataloging theories and works, he provides an intellectual context for contemporary research, practice, and study.

Reviews

"The author succeeds admirably ... the history of social psychology from its roots in ancient philosophy to current trends in research is presented in a scholarly, generally concise, and welcomely readable manner."
-Contemporary Psychology

"...a welcome addition to the field's basic literature....would serve as a useful text for systems and history courses on social psychology."
-The Psychological Record

"...a single, concise statement of the development of social psychology from an historical perspective....this is an important book...It is 'must' reading, not only for graduate students embarking on a career in social psychology, but also for veteran practitioners who may have lost sight of the larger picture because of the specialized nature of their current research."
-Sociological Inquiry

Great experience and I have zero concerns. They communicated through the shipping process and if there was any hiccups in it, they let me know. Books arrived in perfect condition as well as being fairly priced. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely shop here again!

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
