Description

Tomba-la-ca, tomba-la-ca, tomba-la! Come enter into the creepy-crawly, mischievous and mysterious world of Skeletitos, where being on the other side of life is never an excuse for not having a good time! Inspired by the beautiful Mexican calavera art by Jose Guadalupe Posada, Skeletitos is a celebration of the ordinary and the completely extraordinary. Tap your fingers or stomp your feet, no need to sit still. After all, before you know it, our time will be up! Our Day of the Dead themed tales carry a comedic twist for kids, encouraging them to be wary, conscious, funny and self-aware. The first book in the Skeletitos collection features a moveable clock. Little fingers will be tempted to change the hour along with the story, while learning to count and tell time!

About the Author
Susie Jaramillo is a mom, an artist and a creative director raising two bilingual children. She worked for many years in advertising until she decided to return to her roots in illustration. She attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she majored in painting and illustration. As a Latina growing up in the United States, Susie was exposed to Mexican culture at a very early age and always identified with it. When she grew older she traveled to Mexico extensively and also studied Mexican culture here in the United states. Susie has always been entertained by the work of Edward Gory and she decided to combine his influences with those of Jose Posada and her own style to come up with the world of Skeletitos.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
