Reviews
'This supernatural thriller fizzes with energy and affection for its west African setting... Think Picnic at Hanging Rock, but with more music and dancing and the cool, dusty blast of Harmattan winds.' * The Times, Children's Book of the Week *
A supernatural thriller about family, ancestry and belonging. * The Bookseller, One to Watch *
'A fabulously gripping journey of self-discovery' * Reading Zone, 5* Teen author of the Month *
Sister Spirit kept me turning the pages. A story about identity, culture and African myth. Set against the backdrop of a Nigerian boarding school Sister Spirit is creepy, haunting yet filled with history, loss, hope and love. Tara is brave and passionate as she searches for her identity and I adored Bisi and Lanre. Efua has once again written a brilliant book with the best Nigerian representation. -- Abiola Bello, author of The Very Merry Murder Club
Sister Spirit is an intense and addictive supernatural thriller, blending a powerful mystery with a gripping emotional journey of self-discovery and identity. Efua's writing is an immersive and captivating experience, drawing the reader into this unique and powerful world. -- J.P. Rose, author of The Haunting of Tyrese Walker
You are in for an absolute treat! A Nigerian boarding school adventure featuring myth, magic, friendship, romance plus Yoruba magic and history. Truly original and mesmerising YA. -- Lindsay Galvin, author of Call of the Titanic
Efua Traore's gripping and atmospheric YA debut, Sister Spirit, hits so many sweet spots: convincing historical fiction blended with a gothic mystery, boarding school drama, and a budding romance. -- Ayesha Harruna Attah, author of The Deep Blue Between and Zainab Takes New York
A poignant story of family and identity told in Efua Traore's incredibly unique voice. Efua manages to somehow write in a way that is both lyrical but also grounded and I was deftly transported into Tara's story, and hooked as she explored the complexities of her past and her identity. A stunning book! -- Alwyn Hamilton, author of Rebel of the Sands
'Sister Spirit is a thrilling tale of identity, friendship and belonging. Efua merges rich Nigerian mythology with a boarding school setting filled with mystery and magic as Tara learns more about her past, finding friendship and romance along the way. Efua has a special way with words and I was immersed in the novel from the very first page.' * Rachel Faturoti, author of Finding Folkshore *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
