Reviews
The African elephant, an iconic living symbol of Africa s extraordinary natural wealth, is being liquidated across the continent by a criminal and corrupt few who seek profit from an illegal ivory trade, which impoverishes us all. This bloody violence and consequent eerie emptiness knows no bounds, respecting neither the sanctity of Africa s most treasured National Parks nor the global importance of the magnificent World Heritage Site that is the Selous. I hope Robert Ross s record of the Selous, its unique ecosystems and diverse wildlife, will both inspire and educate. Enjoy this book and share it, for its message is important a document of the natural world and a reminder that it is ours to protect.--Alexander Rhodes, Chief Executive of Stop Ivory and Trustee of Tusk Trust (UK)"
