About the Author
Jock Gallagher was a programme head at the BBC for more than twenty years before setting up his own production and communications company. He was Executive Director of the Association of British Editors from 1990-99 and helped found both the Press Freedom Network (1994) and the Centre for Freedom of the Media at Sheffield University (2008). He is president of the Scottish-based Young Programme and a trustee of The Scottish Review.
