About the Author
Kate Riordan is a British writer and journalist. After working on staff at the Guardian and Time Out London, she left the capital and moved to the Cotswolds in order to concentrate on writing novels. She has had three historical novels published by Penguin in the UK: The Girl in the Photograph, The Shadow Hour and The Stranger, which have sold in excess of 150,000 copies and been praised for their atmospheric evocation of 19th century England.
