Ecocriticism and environmental communication studies have for many years co-existed as parallel disciplines, occasionally crossing paths but typically operating in separate academic spheres. Scott Slovic is Professor of Literature and Environment, Professor of Natural Resources and Society, and Faculty Fellow in the Office of Research and Economic Development at the University of Idaho, USA.

Swarnalatha Rangarajan is Professor of English in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Vidya Sarveswaran is Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur.
