Reviews
This much-needed book brings to life current social work theory and practice in post-disaster recovery environments. It showcases the strength of international collaborations in understanding this work-each case study powerfully illustrates that recovery is unique to each disaster situation, yet common in terms of the imperative of rebuilding lives. With gender, inclusion, and social context at the forefront, this book is an invaluable reflection on social work's contribution to recovery work. * Lou Harms, PhD, MSW, Professor, Department of Social Work, University of Melbourne *
