Description
"What I did for myself, I can do for you." -Dr. Robert Zembroski
After conquering life-threatening cancer, Dr. Robert Zembroski (or, as his patients call him, Dr. Z) challenged himself not only to recover, but to thrive in the wake of chronic illness. In Rebuild, he puts forth a comprehensive plan for preventing disease and transforming your body after chronic illness, developed from years of both personal and professional experience.
Dr. Z shows readers how to recover from cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic health issues, to emerge stronger and healthier than ever before. He provides simple yet proven guidelines for how to optimize cell regeneration, eat better, exercise effectively, and eliminate toxic fat. Relying on well-documented science, Dr. Z's advice is radically practical: no fads, no extremes, just sound, actionable directives rooted in real medicine.
Broken into four parts, Rebuild teaches readers to think about D.I.E.T in a whole new way:
* Decide: motivation and building blocks for readers to commit to themselves, and to resolve to make their health a priority.
* Indulge: a primer on what-and when!-to eat, Dr. Z walks readers through the vitamins and minerals we need to build and maintain our bodies, and what to do about the foods we love (like bread and dairy) that are sabotaging our health.
* Enjoy: this section includes meal planning tips, recipes, and considered guidelines for healthy eating.
* Transform: Dr. Z discusses the importance of exercise not only for weight loss but as a part of disease recovery and prevention, along with detailed exercise instructions and a workout plan.
A must-read for anyone looking to rebuild their body after disease, prevent chronic health issues, lose toxic fat, and achieve total body transformation, Rebuild challenges readers as never before to recover, heal, and raise the bar for their health.
