Description

A recently-discovered, long-lost novel and short stories from the 90s featuring private eye Nick Sharman

Follow Sharman as he patrols his seedily glamorous South London beat, with its cast of villains, eccentrics, misfits and losers. A magnet for trouble, even when he is on holiday in the country, he has a habit of inadvertently ending up on the wrong side of the law and at the wrong end of a shotgun. In this high-risk world, people are seldom what they seem and nothing can be taken for granted.

About the Author
In over twenty years as an author, Mark Timlin has written some thirty novels under many different names, including best selling books as Lee Martin, innumerable short stories, an anthology and numerous articles on diverse subjects for various newspapers and magazines.

Reviews
intriguing stories deftly delivered, deliciously playful use of language, bags of energy, wry humour and plenty of hard edges... a real treat for hardboiled crime fans -- Paul Burke * NB Magazine *
Timlin's brainchild continues to offer gritty, entertaining escapism -- AP * Buzz Magazine *
Timlin's talent for pithy, colloquial short stories was always underrated... Here again he demonstrates his craft and makes us realise how much we have missed Sharman -- Maxim Jakubowski * CrimeTime *
Sardonic. Sharp as the smell of cordite and slick as fresh oil on a nickel-plated Colt automatic - think Philip Marlowe in the opening paragraph of The Big Sleep * South Wales Argus *
The whole thing moves with pace, verve and wit; 170 pages of hi-energy pared-down prose, laced with episodes of explosive action -- Bob Cornwell * Crime Time *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
