Weathering is the sustained trend in modelling which has developed tremendously over the recent years, especially in the area of armour modelling. There is now a whole variety of modelling techniques to simulate dirt, fading, spills, paint wear and tear, rusting, etc. This is a book about weathering designed with one audience in mind - the military modeller. To be sure, there are many books available about weathering military models, but they all concentrate on weathering techniques - pre-shading, washes, pin-washes, dry-brushing, hairspray, etc. This book is different: it does not tell the modeller how to achieve a particular finish. Rather, it is a reference book showing a range of real military vehicles and their components in real military environments. Actual weathering!
