The 1940s remains an iconic period in world history and retains a fascination for so many. No book can cover every single possible role but this offers an excellent starting point for further research and involvement while stressing the need to always remain respectful of those we seek to commemorate.

About the Author
Robin Wichard has been passionate about history since childhood. A degree in Archaeology added a fascination for the objects which tell our history. Robin has been involved in living history for the past 35 years, participating in events in Britain and the United States as a member of Company F (Essex Sharpshooters), 55th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment. His interest in World War II began while listening to stories told by his parents of their wartime experiences.
