About the Author
Robert B. Handfield, Ph.D., is Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management in the College of Management at North Carolina State University. He also is co-director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative. Dr. Handfield serves the Editor of the Logistics journal, served on the Joint Acquisition Task Force during COVID and was asked to serve on the White House Council for Economic Advisors. His research focuses on strategic sourcing, supply market intelligence, supplier relationship management and sourcing overseas. He has served in consulting and executive education roles for more than 20 Fortune 500 companies, including UPS, Biogen, Toshiba, Caterpillar and John Deere. Larry C. Giunipero, Ph.D., C.P.S.M., C.P.M., is Professor of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management at Florida State University. He has published more than 65 articles in various academic journals. His research interests focus on supply management, including supply chain sourcing strategies and relationships, supply management skills and competencies, risk management, global sourcing and e-purchasing. He serves on the editorial boards of several supply chain journals. Dr. Giunipero has served as a consultant and/or executive trainer to more than 30 Fortune 1000 organizations, both domestically and globally. His teaching awards include the University Transformational Teaching Award and Graduate Teaching Award. He earned his Ph.D. at Michigan State University. Robert M. Monczka, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Supply Chain Management at the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, Michigan State University. He is also former Distinguished Research Professor of Supply Chain Management in the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He has served as Director of Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Strategy Research at CAPS Research, where he led initiatives focused on sourcing and supply strategy innovation, development and implementation. A frequent speaker at professional meetings, Dr. Monczka has published more than 200 books and articles. He has consulted worldwide with leading companies in the Fortune 100 and has received two National Science Foundation grants to study supply strategy. He has also been awarded the J. Shipman Gold Medal Award from ISM and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Procurement Leaders (London). James L. Patterson, Ph.D., C.P.M., A.P.P., is Professor Emeritus of Supply Chain Management (SCM) for the School of Management and Marketing in the College of Business and Technology (CBT). A Michigan State University Ph.D. alumnus in SCM, he holds lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager and Accredited Purchasing Practitioner credentials from the Institute for Supply Management. He served as President of the Quad-City Foreign Trade Zone #133 and was honored twice as CBT's Outstanding Teacher of the Year. He has also been listed four times in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." He also received WIU's Administrative Distinguished Service Award while he was CBT's Assistant Dean. He is a long-standing reviewer for the Journal of Supply Chain Management and Editor Emeritus for the Journal of Contemporary Business Issues. His research interests include supply chain fraud, supply chain risk, negotiation and conflict resolution and strategic sourcing.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
