Description

This text provides information, tips and hints on managing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) process from both the lecturer's and the student's perspective. The book outlines the philosophy and process of PBL and its value as a teaching/learning strategy for nurse education. Through a series of interactive chapters the book directs the reader towards gaining the maximum benefit from PBL. The authors include advice on running successful PBL sessions and dealing with difficulties such as dysfunctional teams. Written in a user-friendly fashion that encourages active learning, this book provides first-hand guidance for those involved in this new and exciting strategy for learning and teaching.

This book offers a frank, jargon-busting and infinitely readable introduction to PBL...I recommend this book to all involved in the education and training of nurses as a comprehensive and inspiring guide to PBL. I also recommend it highly to student nurses unfamiliar or new to PBL.' - extract from the foreword by Sally Glen, Professor of Nursing Education and Dean, St Bartholomew School of Nursing & Midwifery, City University

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
