Description

'Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier' - Samuel Johnson

Everyone has heard of MI5 and MI6, but what about plain old MI?

Jon Comyn had heard of it, but had no idea what they actually did. He had served in the infantry and even gone to Sandhurst, but nothing held his interest, so he was now on the lookout for something new.

Many people fancy themselves as an international spy, but in truth, the Intelligence Corps is more Harry Palmer than James Bond; working in the shadows and pitting your wits against an unseen foe.

Jon figured that the only way to find out what life in Military Intelligence was actually like was to join them.

So that's what he did.

This is his story.

About the Author
Joseph Lindsay's military career in the British Army spanned almost thirty years. Originally infantry, both Regular and Territorial Army, he joined the Intelligence Corps TA, spending twenty years in the Corps of which five were spent with the Regular Intelligence Corps. He saw action in Afghanistan with Helmand Task Force and spent four years in Iraq with Private Security Companies in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers, and as an analyst for BP amongst others. He also worked in Africa as a security officer on gold mines in the 1980's. At one time a World expert in Counter Terrorism, having worked in DIS and JTAC, he was also a PTI, Drill instructor and coach for shooting, being described once as 'the only PTI I've ever met who isn't a psycho'. As a child, he won awards for his writing, and it has only taken him about another fifty years to pursue his childhood passion.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
