Reviews
"I use Principles of Intercultural Communication when teaching intercultural communication and find it to be the best textbook on the market. It takes a welcome international perspective that does not feel like something written just for American students. The latest edition adds further materials, illustrations, and examples to an already excellent text." - Todd L. Sandel, University of Macau, Macao, China
"This is one of the best intercultural communication textbooks on the market. I appreciate how Klyukanov integrates conceptual definitions for terms alongside real-life examples. Additionally, the "Side-trips" within the book provide readers with a great opportunity to further explore intercultural communication's many concepts in practical and theoretical ways."- Stephen Croucher, Massey University, New Zealand
"Principles of Intercultural Communication was already the best textbook on the subject, and Igor Klyukanov has made it deeper and broader while also ensuring accessibility. The 'side trips' offer opportunities for in-class discussion, and the case studies provide guidance for critical-cultural analyses. References to history, ethnography, mythology, literature, philosophy, and the social sciences generally afford an expansive view of human relationships as they function dynamically across boundaries at all levels of communication. I highly recommend this text." - Andrew R. Smith, PennWest University, USA
