She has been interviewed by the Chicago Tribune, the Boston Globe, and BMJtalk medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioethics and Interdisciplinary Studies, with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Public Health at the Brody School of Medicine, at East Carolina University. Richie is the head of the North Carolina Unit of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics.
