Description

*In recent years there is a huge public interest in how digital technology is influencing the world around us. Most of the books in this area focus on the technology rather than the mindset. This leaves the opportunity for this book that combines a deep engagement with the digital moment, but which connects it to craft, the handmade and artisanship. As the digital becomes ever more dominant in our daily lives, there is a return to physical experiences, and it's possible to trace this renewed dedication to tactility and craft across the creative industries - from art to fashion and architecture. Our book will focus on this return to tactility, but by featuring creatives who fully embrace the digital moment, and draw deep inspiration from these themes. *Includes an in-depth introduction written by author Jonathan Openshaw. *Included essays and interviews with leading figures such as Hans Ulrich Obrist, Nathan Jurgenson and Glenn Adamson also throw light on the subject of postdigital creativity, from visual art to architecture, urban planning to design. *The book profiles 60 contemporary artists and designers, and is devided into 6 chapters. *Each article is richly illustrated with the work of the artist or designer. *Outstanding graphic design.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
