About the Author
Adam Pope obtained a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Reading. He worked as chartered engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers in London and later as a consultant. He has also been involved in conservation projects and environmental impact assessments. Clare Barkworth has a Master of Science degree from the University of Reading. She has worked in social and economic development in many African and Asian countries. Together with Adam, she runs an indigenous tree nursery, growing some 100 different indigenous species.
