Description

Big Jobs! is a new narrative non-fiction series covering popular historical topics through a variety of colourful jobs in a down-to-earth, readable style, with plenty of toilet humour! Each chapter features a double page fact spread and there is a glossary at the end. In Pirate you are sailing to Jamaica when you are captured by a scurvy crew of pirates. Experience what it's like to live on a pirate ship and to follow their ways! Life will be tough and punishments hard, but it's not all bad news. There's friendship among the men, and there's treasure to be had, too! You'll find it's a big job being a pirate.

Pirate! Knight! Gladiator! Fighter Pilot! What else do kids want to be when they grow up? No other series tackles these popular topics for 7 to 9s in such a child-friendly way. Designed to appeal to that ever-elusive group: reluctant readers and boys of 7+. Links to the National Curriculum, KS1 and KS2 English and History. Great cross-over potential for the trade and educational markets. Essential school library material. Promotable author, with strong connections in the world of children's books.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
