About the Author
Ellen Frankel Paul received her doctorate from the Government Department at Harvard University in 1976. She has served as a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and as a member of the political science departments at Miami University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is currently Professor of Political Science at Bowling Green State University. Fred D. Miller, Jr. received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Washington. Since 1972 he has been a member of the Department of Philosophy at Bowling Green State University. He has had research fellowships at Harvard University, the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Princeton University, Jesus College at Oxford University, and at the Centre for Philosophy and Public Affairs at the University of St Andrews. Jeffrey Paul is Professor of Philosophy at Bowling Green State University. He received his doctorate in philosophy at Brandeis University in 1984. He has also taught philosophy at Northern Kentucky University and at the University of Cincinnati. In 1981 he was Visiting Scholar at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.
