Description

A witty and theatrical South Asian mystery novel set over the course of one single electrifying night, exploring the unfinished business death leaves in its wake. Nazia Sami is a celebrated author, but perhaps her greatest plot twist is yet to be produced. In her final days, she wields a pen one last time as she fills her diary with instructions for her sister and writes six letters to be delivered after her death. There is to be no funeral for Nazia. Instead, only six invitees are invited to a party, one of whom is a mystery guest. Over the course of an extraordinary evening, secrets are revealed, pasts reconsidered, and lives are forever changed.

A contemporary South Asian mystery novel.

Reviews
"a beautifully controlled blend of wit, compassion and cultural hypocrisy that shines a revealing light on how death can change the lives of those left behind"-Daily Mail;"...this isn't simply a salacious story about affairs and scandals. It's a layered, piecing-together of a woman through the perspectives of those who loved - and hated- her; a woman whose parting gift to them all is the opportunity to heal themselves. Taha's writing style, laced with colourful metaphors and discerning remarks about society, makes the novel a delight to devour."-The New Arab;"Sharp, incisive and thoroughly entertaining, this is a novel I practically raced through. Part mystery, part social satire, this is a brilliant new novel from Taha Kehar."-Awais Khan, author of 'Someone Like Her';"even at first reading, I felt that his depiction of a complicated network of social, familial, sexual and political relationships drew deeply from his rootedness in Karachi, and the purpose of his story, within its subverted mystery setting, is to remove masks from faces and unpeel layers of the identities we conceal from ourselves."-Aamer Hussein

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
