Description
Network Information Systems: A Dynamical Systems Approach is written for applied mathematicians, dynamical systems theorists, control theorists, and engineers. Researchers and graduate students in a variety of fields who seek a fundamental understanding of the rich behavior of controlled large-scale network systems will also find this book useful.
This book can be used for a first course on control design of large-scale network systems, such as control protocols for network systems, network information systems, a dynamical systems approach to network systems, and network thermodynamic systems. The prerequisites are a first course in nonlinear systems theory and a first course in advanced (multivariable) calculus.
About the Author
Wassim M. Haddad is a professor, the David Lewis Chair in Dynamical Systems and Control, and the chair of the Flight Mechanics and Control Discipline at the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds a joint professor appointment with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His contributions to the development of nonlinear control theory and its application to aerospace, electrical, and biomedical engineering are documented in over 700 journal and conference papers and eight books. Dr. Haddad is an NSF Presidential Faculty Fellow, a member of the Academy of Nonlinear Sciences, an IEEE Fellow, an AAIA Fellow, and the recipient of the AIAA Pendray Aerospace Literature Award.
Qing Hui is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to this, he was assistant professor and associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. His research interests include network robustness and vulnerability analysis, consensus, synchronization and control of network systems, network optimization, network interdependency and cascading failures, network fault detection and diagnosis, swarm optimization, hybrid systems, biomedical systems, software and hardware acceleration-based control designs, and high-performance scientific computing.
Junsoo Lee is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. His research interests include stability theory, optimal control, multiagent systems, network control, and stochastic systems and control.
