Description

This book provides up-to-date information on the application of nano-sized materials in energy devices. A brief overview on the properties of nano-sized materials introduces the readers to the basics of the application of such materials in energy devices. Among the energy devices covered include third generation solar cells, fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors. The book places emphasis on the optical, electrical, morphological, surface, and spectroscopic properties of the materials. It contains both experimental as well as theoretical aspects for different types of nano-sized materials, such as nanoparticles, nanowires, thin film, etc.

About the Author

Hieng Kiat Jun obtained an M.Eng.Sci. in 2007 and a PhD in 2014, both from the University of Malaya. He now works at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Material and Mechanical Engineering. At the beginning of this career, he worked in various organizations as a process and quality engineer. Subsequently, his interest moved to research in the renewable energy field, specifically in the area of quantum dot-sensitized solar cells. Currently, he conducts experimental research on nano-sized energy devices in solar cells and fuel cells. His main interests are dye- and quantum dot-sensitized solar cells, organic solar cells, pervoskite solar cells, electrolyte characterization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Energy Research and is currently an active member of the Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM).

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
