Description

Discover the remarkable family tree of one chicken in this strange but true tale!

Hello! I don't think that I've met you before.

Now, you may not have heard, I'm a real DINOSAUR.

Now, before you start thinking I look like a meal...
Check my family tree - and then see how you feel.

Meet one plucky chicken and discover her roarsome secret: she is descended from dinosaurs . . . and no fox is going to make a meal out of her!

Travel through time and uncover the unlikely truth of how of the humble hen is related to the terrifying T-Rex in this fantastic read-aloud picture book.

Written by the bestselling dinosaur duo Steve and Anne Brusatte, it packs 250 million years of history into a single sitting and contains a fascinating fact packed section at the back.

About the Author
Anne Brusatte was born in Bristol, England and lived in New York City for several years, but now calls Edinburgh home. She taught primary school for over ten years in two countries and is very used to children knowing far more about dinosaurs than she ever will.

Steve Brusatte is a palaeontologist who hunts and writes about dinosaurs. He is on the faculty of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, but grew up in the Midwestern USA. Steve has travelled around the world digging up dinosaurs and, working with many international colleagues, has named more than 15 new species, including the tyrannosaur 'Pinocchio rex' (Qianzhousaurus) and the raptor Zhenyuanlong. He has written several books for kids and adults, most notably the adult pop science book The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs (2018), which was a New York Times bestseller in the USA, Sunday Times bestseller in the UK and Globe & Mail bestseller in Canada. His work is covered often by the popular press and he has appeared on several television shows, such as the National Geographic extravaganza T. rex Autopsy, where he was part of the team that dissected a scientifically accurate life-sized model of a T. rex.

Enrico Lorenzi is an Italian illustrator, born and raised in a small seaside town in Liguria, who currently lives in the beautiful city of Florence. Drawing has always been his biggest passion, and he often spends most of his time lost in a sketch. In 2010 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Art and during those years he discovered the fantastic world of illustration and put all his efforts into transforming his passion into a career. He began working as an illustrator in 2017 and loves to get lost in endless research trying to find new techniques, often mixing traditional, printmaking and digital mediums.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
