Reviews
The uniqueness of Multicultural Kingdom: Ethnic Diversity, Mission and the Church is perhaps the person that penned the book. Harvey brings 20 years of experience of intercultural conversations and experience encompassing European cities, African countries and North America. The central argument of this book is that God's Kingdom, that is, the global church is like a mosaic. The imagery of a mosaic is a very powerful one that conveys different tiles with different colours arranged in such a way that it is only the artist that has the complete picture and know how best to arrange the tiles. Here is a deep theology of intercultural mission that should shape our ecclesial practices when it comes to cultural diversity. -- Israel Oluwole Olofinjana
"In this important book, Dr Harvey Kwiyani demonstrates to a wide audience why churches should be multicultural. It is a biblical expectation, a theological necessity, a reflection of contemporary Britain, and a challenge to racism and anti-immigrant movements. Along the way we are treated to an African view of British society and shown snapshots of churches on their way to cultural diversity. Highly recommended for all who wish to engage in authentic mission and experience the multicultural kingdom today." -- Kirsteen Kim
